| My writing style and needs have changed over the few months that have seemingly been abandoned on this website. Abandoned... well no. Perhaps, purposefully closed. Somewhat for self therapy, somewhat because the story may be too sporatic to truly grasp in words for now. The best I can now do is force my mind to write ramblings. And in that venue will I choose to bring namland to life. |

Nam
has introduced a new section to Namland called: Current Ramblings: Learn
about what Nam's mind now. This will be more feature and essay style
writing of various culminations or ruminations and will be an accent
to the Journal. |

Went to Tranny with Bryan tonight. Had an extra fun time being drunk and dancing like crazy. Oh how sweet it is to be single and completely disfunctional with good friends. |
| August 8 and 9 and 10, 2003 |
August 8 Brought the best Bjork concert ever to SF. It was a lively show with fireworks and Bjork being extra cute. The day before there was an equally awesome preshow at the Tranyshack which was, you guessed it, Bjork themed. They redid a lot of the old Bjork music videos and brought Bryan and I down memory lane. On the 9th, I went to my good friend Sau's birthday. She is very pragmatic and made the wedding that way also. The ceremony was a toal of ten minutes and they got right to the chase. She also had the great idea of having chopsticks of wedding favors. I know others have done it too, but she did it particularly tastefully with a nice straw tie and personalized caligraphy.
On AUgust 10th I started my first day at the Body Shop. I am working there now in addition to working at the Center for Human Resource Survival and Davis and Contract Lighting and grad school. My student loan payment has graduated as well to 1600 a month. Only87 payments to go and I am home free...... |

Ming and I just came back from a nice weekend in LA. We stayed at the Paradise Pier hotel in order to appease my disney fetish. But, most of the weekend was spent galavanting around West Hollywood. We started Friday with a quick drive down to the southern regions. Most of the trip was frought with hunger and taunting by McDonalds. A radio station in Bakersfield taunted us with a 2 for 2 bargain for 2 six piece packs of chicken nuggets for $2 dollars. Unfortunately, we were not able to find any participating stores on or way to or back from the LA. Yet, the craving had to be satisfied and we paid full price. When we got to Valencia, the traffic began, and it did not stop until we got to Anaheim. Once there I was relieved since we would now be in the splendor and comfort of the Disney Resorts that I have come to enjoy and expect. Instead there was a valet fiasco which annoyed me. After I settled that matter, Ming and I went to pick up my friend Zack from West LA and then headed over to Century City to see my friend Kelli who works at the Body Shop. Once that was done, we headed to Bossa Nova in West Hollywood to have dinner with Mings old friends. Elicia came and met me there as well and we had a gay old time at the Abbey and Rush. The next day I go for a brief encounter at Disneyland with Zack, while Ming caught up with his friend Sean. It was unnecessarilly hot and muggy and we were done earlier than expected. I then took Zack home and we went to visit Sean and Mark at their place. We ended up veging there for a good few hours. Ming and I then decided we were hungry and were headed to a mexican restaurant when a Chinese one called Maison Wang caught our eye. We experienced what we expected which was a bad chinese restaurant, but pulled ourselves together and headed back to West Hollywood. This time we went to Here and walked down the strip to look at the over clubs. We stopped in at the Normandie and made a loop back to Here. The rest of the trip was sleeping and driving. All and all a good trip. |
| May and June Something.... |
I am so tired, I have no idea what just blew through my whirlwind life but here it goes.... Karen got married - I got in a suit one morning and drove over to her parents house in San Jose and there she was in a wedding dress! Of course I think i wrote about this already earlier... Kai goes to the emergency room - Some had a bit too much to drink at Ken's wedding. And when he got home, his parents flipped and thought Kai was going to die, so they called 911.... Nams Car hits 200000 - Please note that the engine light is on as well....
Lori had a bachelorette Party - When else can you see Lori get a blowjob with the crocodile hunter, go to karaoke and have an old white guy sing "I Like Big Butts" and "Rock Lobster" to Lori, and then go to Octopussy and watch Lesbians wonder what all the fags and straight girls were doing out at their bar?
Speaking of Lesbians, when Kai and I were in Europe on our way to Amsterdam, we met to lesbians in a train who were form the bay area. I saw them there that night. Nams Brother and Sister and Law get a dog - Her name is Michelle, she has bad breathe
Frameline had a film festival - So Ming's company Frameline runs the lesbian and gay film festival. 18days of movies and parties and we went to most of it. I am so exhausted but it was a great party with some great movies. Nam gets mugged - Ok, so I am like walking down the street around 5th and Harrison in the middle of the day and some bastard tackles me from behind and takes my money. I hate people. Nams car get raped again - So outside of Bryan's house in the Western Addition, some bastards stole my stereo and ripped off the control console to get it. Needless to say, I had hours of pick and pull searching to find the controls to my air conditioning.
Lori and Matt get Marries - It was so purdy....... Ya'll should have been there.
Pride - We walked around being gay. I was disappointed by this years sponsorship, but it was still fun. Yah to the Gays. This event was to gay for me to photograph.... Ok I forgot the camera....
