Mariae said I have to mention her trip back to Cali a few months back. So now I will officially announce that Mariae came to visit California sometime last year. During that time we had an adventure at the straight clubs. Suffice to say Kai conned our other friend HJK to getting completely wasted. So we drove him home. I would tell more details, but some of the "Good Times" song is about this and I will add this to our "Behind the Music" section when our first song has been somewhat finalized.

Aside from that, Erik has set up his DJ equipment. It is now in the place that I used to have my bar. Hence the sad face:

Dj Equipment: $800, Table for the Equipment $250, Knowing that you will annoy the hell out of the neighbors downstairs....

Priceless.

My PhD program has become quite interesting, however it meant that I don't quite remember what I did in February. I'm sure it was some fun stuff. I do remember doign alighting design for the Cal Rep Theater. Erik and I also went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and then toward the end Kai and I started a band. Making the Band So, the making of the band thing is your typical MTV special. Except there is no video and there it won't be airing on MTV. Kai plays the guitar and I like to critique people and sing. So, it was a perfect band material. Mariae is also in the band, and she telecommutes to rehearsals from houston. Erik just got some DJ equipment and he will be our "Turntablist." Erik claims that is a word so i will be using it. When I told Mariae about it, she said she could play her tummy so she is going to be the bands tummiest. It hasn't been quite decided who else is in the band. Our first rehearsal was fun, but we didn't get much rehearsing done. We ate and had some karaoke sessions instead. In our next rehearsal Kai and I decided to not have karoake and we will be working on Kai's old songs and a new song that Kai, Mariae and I have developed names "Good Times"
