Nam, Sau, Cisco, and Chris's East Coast Driving Extravaganza

I had just graduated from Santa Clara University and was ready for a great road trip. The purpose for this trip was to get me to Martha's Vineyard where I would be interning at The Nature Conservancy. I was working partly as a night typist at Justifacts Credential Verifications when my co-worker Chris remarked that he would be accepting a position at Harvard Medical in a Biological Research Facility. So, I said, "Road Trip!!!!"

We got two of other close co-workers, Cisco and Sau, to come with us on our grand adventure. So, the day after my graduation, packed up my bags got in my car and said adios to my Family. We left early in the morning and made it to Reno in time for breakfast. We ate at the buffet in the Silver Legacy. We then made our way to Yellowstone National Park... It took us a good 18 hours to get there! I was tired.. When we got there, it was thundering and raining which made it really fun to drive with my SUV... the other car didn't have that much fun though. The next morning we did the usual touristy things, like old faithful and driving around the lake. We stopped by this underpass where snow had accumulated so we can have a good ol' snow ball fight. Sau and I then dared Chris and Cisco to cross the freezing cold river with their barefeet... HEE HEE... and they did!!!

We then left Yellowstone and headed east toward Chicago... we spent a night in Cheyenne which was uneventful and headed over too Chicago. We stayed at this flea-bag motel with this scary reception guy with an extra long pinky nail. It was really grotesque, but fortunately we had each other! The main reason for us to go to Chicago was because Cisco really wanted to see the Delta Center where Michael Jordon's statue was. So, we humored him and spent a few hours taking pictures in front of the statue.

We then decided to go to Niagra Falls via CANADA which was silly. We go up on the bridge to Canada and my car gets to go through. Chris's car on the other hand gets stuck in the expection site. So, we attempt to find a place to park so that we didn't lose each other. But, I stupidly took a wrong turn and found myself on the bridge back to America! So, a few U-turns later we found each other and were on our way through Canada. Niagra Falls was beautiful at night because they shine all these colored lights on it. But, by the time we got there I had realized I only had one more day to get to Martha's Vineyard! So, we decided to split up. I had already been driving about 16 hours and I was now dtching my friends at Niagra Falls and making another ten hour dash toward the University of Connecticut! I was so tired! When I got to Connecticut I decided to crash at Mr. Lawyer Guy's House :) Mr. Lawyer Guy flew me out to Hartford, CT the year before for a nice weekend. I then slept for a good half day! Martha's Vineyard is a whole other story!
